Yesterday I spent awhile mapping out the family tree of Clovis the First. He was an interesting personality in so far as having been credited with bringing it all together by subjugating all the tribes that had come to live in Gaul after the slow capitulation of the Roman empire. I was re reading his story to see if I could find any clues that would help me in my research and I think I have even mentioned a thing or two about how he was doing battle against an enemy and had prayed to his wife's god. He had sworn that if he could win the battle of the moment he would convert from his old Teutonic religion to her way of believing and praying. As it turned out his army did win the battle and Clovis kept good to his promise and on the following Christmas day he and about 300 of his people had converted from the old religion to the new one. I think that is how the Francs became a Christian nation from that day he won his battle.
One has to consider this, before that one battle Clovis had been winning a lot of battles before then. He was fighting against the invasionary forces of the Huns, the Vikings and even against his own nobles who were constantly plotting to undermine his authority and kingship. He knew his way around a battle field and I am sure that the Romans had taught him a thing or two about how a battle should be fought.
I guess he didn't have enough faith in himself or in his abilities. I don't really want to go here because the above will make for another article.
But I will take it here.
You know, you and I know that people are capable of achieving anything that they set their minds to do. They can even heal themselves despite the fact they have spent a good amount of time doing things that will eventually weaken their immune systems. All they have to do is focus their minds upon changing and freeing themselves from the old patterns that got them into their situation of dis-ease.
Wa la, a medical miracle happens! A diabetic decides to shed the pounds they really don't need to be carrying. Wa la again! They get their diabetes under control! Their blood pressure comes down too and their too high cholesterol numbers lose several points as well.
By golly, the medical miracles just keep happening!
Then there's that little extra waddle that old folks carry beneath their chins. Did you know that tightening those muscles up with daily exercise via compression of the flesh by using your will to tighten things up will circumvent the plastic surgeons knife play?
Diet changes can heal you. So can changing the way you think and how you react to things and events around you.
The list can go on. Just know you have the means and the ways to heal yourself.
I think its time to begin asking you to ask yourself why you want to be so sick.
I also think you need to be writing your representatives and congressmen and begin asking them to heal the planet while you are at it.
Someone a long time ago prophesied that the end time would bring seven deadly plagues to people and nations. Disease, famine and environmental stuff....etc, etc.
Let me give you a heads up people. From the moment life happened upon this planet there have been the potential for plagues of all types happening to come into our lives. Have you read a history book lately?
We are presently living in a time right now, at this very moment where some very old diseases are beginning to make a come back. There are even some new ones that are making themselves known to us. I don't really think that the so called diseases are very new. I think that some very old ones have mutated and put on some new and very fascinating genetic sequences. We have helped them along too by allowing our food stuffs and animals to be vaccinated, given antibiotics and now cloned. What if cloning an animal changes and modifies the diseases it carries?
I really don't want to go there.
But I do want you to get out there and write to people about how laws should be enacted that force meat suppliers to label their products if they are coming from animals that have been cloned. Then we all can make the decision through our freedom of choice if we want to buy their products.
While I am here nagging you, I have another little issue I want you to become aware of.
When Columbus and his crew came to the new world he not only brought a new way of life with him but he also brought with him a very nasty package filled with all types of diseases that people in this part of the world had never seen or experienced before. People are still blaming my "ancestors for giving Columbus and his crew syphilis that was then brought back to the old world."
I don't think it happened that way, folks. I think that Columbus and his crew already had the disease and brought it from Europe to the new world. Someday science will prove those of us who think alike right.
The issue here is that every day we all are exposed to the potential of experiencing the seven deadly plagues.
Our environment has been changing as it always has done in the past.
But lets be adults here for a moment; we have to face the truth that we have been playing a big part in accelerating those changes a bit with our over population, pollution, cutting down trees to no end to make room for parking lots, malls and housing. We have allowed chemistry to come into our consumerism. Chemicals are showing up in the environment that haven't been there before. Think about that every time you flush expired medicines down the toilet. Or when you buy a new computer whose components have been washed with chemicals during its manufacturing process. What happens to the stuff that the components have been washed in? When you wash your toilet bowl with chlorine products you flush them down the toilet when you are through. No? Where do you suppose that stuff ends up at?
Our city commissioners have passed ordinances that limit the amount of water we use in regard to our lawns, etc. Yet we walk by when a sprinkler system on city property has gone bad and is wasting a lot of water on a daily basis. Call someone. They will come out to fix it and the water won't continue to get wasted. You will feel better about it to because you have done your part.
Instead of recycling stuff we consume we throw it all away because we think that someone else will reclaim it on our behalf. That doesn't make any sense either.
Please, please, I am not pointing my finger at you. Or maligning you in any way. I am pointing out things that you have to begin thinking about.
http://www.iht.com/articles/2007/03/21/news/gore.php
I have copied and pasted above the URL to an article about the time Gore stood before congress and pleaded with them to begin doing something about what is now a potential crisis. He asked them to stand together like the 300 brave Spartan souls did at Thermopylae. Its interesting that he too is citing historical events to get his point across on behalf of our survival on this planet.
In any case, lets look at why ancient Rome fell....That was my intent anyway before I got wrapped up in tangents.
Rome fell because it had made so many mistakes throughout.
1: It's people got lazy. They weren't as industrious as they used to be during the early days of the Republic.
2: Its generals and senators made some big mistakes in allowing people who used to be their enemies become part of their army, that powerful and almost undefeatable Legion.
3: The Romans taught their former enemies how to fight a good battle, and shared their secrets that went into formations, laying siege upon towns and how to lead during a battle. They armed them with their latest weapons and even taught them the newest technologies of their day.
4: Much later on down the line the Romans began mistreating their conscripts and their families. The mercenaries rose up against them and formed their own armies after some of them went back to get their own people from the lands where they had come from to join them in that rebellion.
The Visigoths, the Goths and the Viking and the Huns fought using the method we now call, guerrilla warfare. This means a small group of protagonists get together and lay in wait for their enemy to come through. They struck hard and inflicted heavy losses upon an army that had been trained to fight in a specific way. That army had also given away its methodology and weaponry to its enemies.
Rome fell slowly and miserably. Its power gone, it became open to raids and sorties carried out by the people who were once their enemies. To complicate things even more, the Vikings and the Huns came into the picture and began raising Cain. What was once an empire became a desperate struggle for survival as the armies were recalled from their outposts in the empire to defend their home front. By then it was too late.
I am going to share with you a very old speech that was made by one of Rome's enemies. His name was, Athaulf. His name translates as "noble wolf."
"It was at first my wish to destroy the Roman name and erect in its place a Gothic empire. But when experience taught me that the untameable barbarism of the Goths would not suffer them to live under the sway of law, I chose the glory of renewing and maintaining by Gothic strength the fame of Rome."
Athaulf's speech can be read in many ways. The way I read it is, I think our enemies feel the same way today. They are dead set in destroying us in any way they can. Like others who fought against us in the past they are willing to sacrifice their own lives in the process of bringing down Americans. It doesn't matter to them that they will also bring harm to their own people in the process.
Lets bring this all home to our present time. I think I don't have to paint you a picture that's too detailed to show you how events in the past are repeating themselves within our today.
Look at this though and you will see where I am coming from.
The enemy today is Bin Laden. In the recent past he wasn't our enemy and we had gone over there to help him and his rebels do battle against the enemy of the day. We taught them how to fight a good battle and we even sold them a few weapons while we were at it. We had also taught them how to create bombs out of materials that were very simple to put together. All that knowledge and weaponry and the technology has been shared and then has been turned against us. They know how our military will react to certain situations because we shared that with them too.
Right now anyone of you can do a browser search on the Internet to learn how to make a simple bomb out of stuff you have at home. The information is out there and anyone with an eye to hurt people can get it.
Does that make any sense?
We have laws in place that limit the sale of weaponry to those people who can pass a very tight Federal screening. Yet, any gang member, thief, criminal and yes, terrorists can still get a weapon. And those weapons are the latest in deadly technology of our day. In essence, the barbarians can arm themselves pretty easily in this country.
Just a few days ago several pipe bombs were discovered at the Orlando International Airport. I bet you the people who created those pipe bombs learned how to from the data on the Internet, if they weren't terrorists.
Does any of the above make any sense?
Every where our armies have went they just had to arm and teach the people who would eventually turn those weapons against us. We also teach them how to engage an enemy using our military methodology. The Romans did that and we have done it too.
Why is it that our leaders have this compulsion to get involved in someone else's conflicts? Or to escalate a conflict between two factions by our involvement?
Then during a time of conflict with the people who have become our enemies we maintain an open door policy on immigration.
Then events like 911 and the bombs that were planted at Orlando International Airport happen and we get totally surprised and offended.
Yes indeed folks. History and the events and mistakes that are contained within it are bound to repeat themselves like a broken record looping itself to no end.
You know, this war that we are fighting over there is very expensive. I am not talking about the cost in dollars, right now.
I writing about the young lives that are being wasted over there. We are depleting our future by sending our youth over there.
Think about it. Really think about it.
What if one of them were an Einstein, Polk, an Edison, or a Tesla or a great poet and historian? What they could have invented, written or discovered is being buried with them everyday we stand our ground over there.
There's going to be a special on TV tonight that my wife wants me to watch. Its about homeless families that are living in the jungles of Central Florida. many of them have become homeless because of the real estate crunch or perhaps by way of the many natural disasters that have happened here as of late. Think about that too while you are at it. Our dollars are being spent over there on a war that we can't possibly win because we constrain our solders with moral issues. Think about all the people, children and old folks that could be helped here in our own country.
When we going to learn?
When are you going to write, E mail and call to make yourselves heard?
