Hello Blogsters and visitors:
Hope you had a Happy Saint Valentine's Day...Belated wishes from me today.
I've come up for some air from the genealogy work. While I worked on the Site I closed it down for a time while I was uploading data and images of the people who are within my tree.
Genealogy is a funny discipline in that it has a lot of conventions that have to be followed. Sources are important in that it verifies the data you have gathered on a specific person is accurate as far as history goes. It also heklps other genealogists in their quest to construct their own family trees.
My present concentration is within medieval Europe because that's where I need to look to find the people who came to the Americas circa the 1400's and 1500's. There were a lot of them too.
A lot of Puerto Rican genealogists spend their time researching their immediate families that once lived upon the islands, I found out quickly that one can get stuck there trying to make connections that never seem to come together for the Puerto Rican genealogist. That has got to be frustrating. For me, Europe's history has been a complex task to research because of the sheer volume of information there is on the Internet. Google was helpful in that it contains a wealth of information and even old books within their archives about history, genealogy and political events from different time periods.
Europe's genealogy is very complex in that the different family ties all link together like a gigantic DNA chain. In essence, that DNA chain does exist in a more physical sense because it intertwines and weaves in and out family households depositing its wealth of genetic information for a little while until the next phase happens within a historical context to change that configuration of genes. Wars happen over and over again and the invaders are attacked as if they were a virus invading a body. The attackers swoop through towns, cities and villages and the defenders are all too willing to lose limb life and sanity until they are vanquished or the enemy has been rendered mortified, dead, impotent. The way it has unfolded often makes me wonder of we are no different from the T cells that reside within us. The effect is no different in the end.
In the end, the kings and the nobility profited from the wars because they got to keep all the booty, lands and people that had been vanquished. Kingsdoms rose and fell as the one great law of the universe was broken over and over again. "Thou shalt not covet. Thou shalt not Kill." Sons killed fathers and fathers were forced to kill their brood over land, wealth and kingdom. A lot of it doesn't make sense at all. And one sees, during the research the same patterns being reflected here in today's world.
In any case, we are all living here today trying to make the best of it while we can. My greatest lesson that I have been learning from all the work and research I have been doing is:
1: Mind your business.
If a things happens outside of your life that is beyond your control, keep out of it. The politics and the games that go on therein are much too complex to comprehend.
2: Do your best to shine.
We all have been born to seek out our true purpose within this comnplex thing we call life. We all have been born with a specific gift and we must seek out a way to develop it. If your destiny has decreed that you must sweep someone else's floors, then shine in your field. Become the best floor sweeper and floor polisher that you can be.
3: Life can be trying and very hard at times:
Don't fret iver trivialities. Politics, countries, shisms and philosophies are all just part of the confusion that will and can drive you mad - nuts - bonkers; if you follow them and flit about from one to the other. Develop your own philosophy that is free from politics and shism. Do that and you will be walking the middle road. Walking the middle road lets you see through lies and deceit that proliferates and surround us. Develop your own opinions and don't sway to another's opinion. Do allow yourself to look at another's opinion and if some of it is good - incorporate it into your life so that you may evolve a little along the way. Don't ever allow someone elses opinion to dominate your life. Know that we have come a long way from when our ancestors came down from those trees, also know that we haven't finished evolving.
4: There are four levels of evolution that we must attend to in order for us to become a complete being.
The first level that we have to become aware of is our physical one. We must attend to taking care of our physical temple which is our body. We must not tarnish ourselves with foods that have been processed, dehydrated, saturated, homonginized or chemicalized. Eating the former actually does tarnish your insides. We call it "oxydation". Junk foods will actually make your vital organs "rust", "Oxydate". We must also attend to how we interact with our physicians. We must ask a lot of questions like: what is this for? Why do I have to take this? What will it do? have you washed your hands before you touch me? Consider the latter questions as a golden rule to live by. Pills have been made to be pushed. Physicians have become the dope peddlers of the pharm companies. If you allow them to they will fill your medicine cabinet to no end with so many different chemicals that you won't be able to function anymore. In the end, your organs will shut down from chemical poisoning.
The second level of awareness is attending to your mental state of mind.
Eliminate as much stress as possible from your life. Avoid it as if it would kill you. It will if you let it. Get in the habit of sitting alone for a few moments to chill out during your work break. Take it a little further and learn how to meditate to still the mind. This in the end will help you control your five senses. It will sharpen your awareness too. Too many of us get caught up within the moment and lose sight of the bigger picture. We have become too focused on the small details in our lives. Train your gaze to see it all. Both the large and the small things so that we don't lose sight of our goal which is to attend to our personal evolution. Begin working upon those many limitations that have been handed to us on a silver plate. Ditch the I can't and change the venue of the words to I can!
Become a self motivated individual. Never allow yourself to become dependent upon someone elses motivation. That opens the door to enslavement. The keys to self motivation are:
1: Become curious. Ask a lot of questions at work and at home in your peronal life. Use the word, WHY a lot? Keep asking yourself HOW. How can I bring positive change in my life. How can I make my life better? Another important word is: DO....Do I have to? Do you have to? That's another form of questioning acts, motives and reasons. Using the three words brings change in your life. Positive change. WHY. HOW and DO.
If you need to get something done. DO it. That leads to less self browbeating and self generated stress in your own realm of living. Get in the habit of not depending on someone elses praise or acknowledgement. You will find that you will become a self contained unit. Self motivated and coming close to being a genius in the eyes of other people. You will also be less dependent upon others. You will find yourself breaking old patterns that your ancestors allowed themselves to fall into. If you need to stand up for your rights...Do it without having to depend or wait on others to begin the task. One person can change an idea or an old preconceived concept! It might just be you.
Carry yourself as if you are a royal personage. Never ever use foul language or foul gesticulations. Those reflect how you think of yourself. Know that you are better than you think you are. Never consider yourself better than anyone else. We are all basically the same person inside and out. I wish I could really show you that we are no different from one another. Our DNA links us up to one another more than you would think. Our differences lie within the fact that each one of our races have adapted to different climatic changes in our world. So that one person seems more different from another based on how their ancestros have adapted to specific stresses in their environment such as weather, soil and food gathering potential.
Inside of us we are all the same basically. Our hormones work to drive our engines. Our muscles wprk to keep us from being dragged down to the soil by gravity. The blood that courses through your viens is filled with nutrients and feeds everyone in the same way.
We all have to learn how to control our emotions. Emotions are very volitile and if a person knows how to juggle circumstances they can in the end control YOU. You must never allow this to happen and come into your life. The biggest emotion that can be played like an instrument is your fear. Right now at this very moment a satilite is theatening to come tumbling down on our heads. The media is playing with your emotions by televising and telling you what will happen if the military fails to shoot the thing down with a missle. The media knows that you don't have much knowledge about technology. Know that our government and other givernments in the world have the technology to spot and kill anything that moves in the ground or above us in the sky. If you watch a lot of TV you might have seen a camera footage of terrorists setting down a bomb in dirt on a road. They didn't know it but they were being spotted via satilite that circled above them. As the video progressed to the next moment it showed them looking around confidently thinking that no one was about watching them. In the next frame they are being blow up to pieces by the missle that was guided their way. A falling satilite? That would be easier to shoot down than people who are constantly on the move. So ask yourselves this? Why are they trying to make you afraid?
Lets pursue this a little further to make logic shine. Begin thinking how many space missions have been sent above us. Begin thinking about all the things that have been left up above us during those missions. Tools, space etc, we call those things space debris. There is so much stuff floating upthere and not one, mind you, not one of them has come down falling upon our heads ir cities. All of a sudden this satilite is going to come flying down crashing upon someone. It isn't logical. Is it? There has to be another reason for taking out that satilite. To tell you the truth I don't care about the reason why. I have come to a place in my life right now where I am too important in regard to my evolution to care about those type of political games. Let them play it. It serves their purpose not mine. I have become really selfish about my personal evolution. You should too. You will become a better person for it too. Much more free and less confined.
